A not-for-profit, Christian-enabling ministry

Crisis Support Services South Africa is a non-profit organisation that seeks to enable Christian ministries. The Bible Story Project is a new ministry to help share the Bible with children.

During the pandemic of 2020, a need was identified for sending Bible stories to families, since Sunday School could not resume as normal. Weltevreden Chapel's Sunday School Superintendent, started recording Bible stories and making short activities that parents could easily share with their children. From this, the idea came about to send these stories and activities to Christian families who want to share the Bible with their children but do not always know where to start themselves. All proceeds will go to support more Christian ministries through CSS-SA.

We hope that this resource would encourage young children to grow in knowledge and love for the Word of Christ. We also hope that it would be a source of joy and ease for parents or Sunday school teachers as they share with their children on a daily basis.

Jacques de Villiers

Jacques has been involved in children's ministry for around 25 years. He is an elder at Weltevreden Chapel, where he oversees the Sunday School. He is still a Sunday School teacher himself and has worked with ages 3-13. He also trains other Sunday School teachers and loves being involved with children's ministry. Being a Sunday School teacher for so many years, has made him a keen story teller and he has been drawing from this to tell the stories that you will be listing to with your children.

Vimbai Chimbarange

Vimbai has spent her life using her personal and career experiences to help people connect with God. As the daughter of a pastor, she knows how even the smallest of gestures can positively impact someone's life as well as the lives of their loved ones. While her focus is on children, she also has a passion for music, which she utilises for the benefit of others.

She has studied Psychology and Philosophy, allowing her to connect with, as well as understand children's behavioural patterns at a deeper level. She received her education at Monash University South Africa (MSA), and the University of South Africa (UNISA).

Vimbai currently helps to make bible stories accessible, enjoyable and affordable for the benefit of Christian children. She also lends her administrative skills at a Christian private school, in Johannesburg where she lives. Furthermore, she is actively involved in the music ministry at her local church.
